Carreras Limited - Hiram Murillo

Position: Non-Executive Director appointed to the Board of Directors of Demerara Tobacco Company in November 2024.

Skills & Experience: Hiram has over 29 years of experience with the British American Tobacco (BAT) Group and is currently the Managing Director of The West Indian Tobacco Company Limited, an affiliate company in Trinidad and Tobago. He also serves as the Country Manager for LANCAR, under the BAT Group. Hiram has served as Country Manager  for the Central American Markets. His career journey included key positions in Trade Marketing and Development (TM&D) in Uzbekistan, followed by leadership roles in the Caribbean, Iran, Morocco, and North Africa. He has also led BAT’s largest global TM&D transformational program, PeTra.

Qualifications: Hiram holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Costa Rica and an MBA from Universidad Latina.
